*Some divisions may be combined or split due to registration numbers.
What age group does my child belong in?
Review the age calculator HERE. For the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 seasons your child
will play in the age group that matches up with their age as of August 31, 2026 (league age)
How do I know if I live or attend school within the Northwest 45 Little League boundaries?
Enter your address HERE.
Eligibility for players League Age 8-16 is based on residency, school enrollment, or uninterrupted participation since age seven. Children at the youngest level of the Little League Baseball and Softball program (League Age 4-7) have the ability to register for any Little League program they choose, without respect to any geography- or school-related eligibility requirements. Those players who register under this option will also be fully eligible to participate in all aspects of league play, including International Tournament play, for the duration of their Little League careers provided they have continuous and unbroken participation within the specific league where initially registered and provided all other participation eligibility requirements have been met.
What is included in registration?
For Fall seasons we provide each player with a jersey and hat. There will be 10 games plus an
end of season tournament for each division (CP6 and older).
For the Spring season we provide each player with a jersey, hat, belt, and socks. There will be
12 games plus an end of season tournament (CP6 and older).
What does my registration money go towards?
Field and park upkeep and maintenance, umpires, uniforms, baseballs, catchers' equipment,
Little League charter and other Little League expenses, utilities, etc.
Does Northwest 45 LL take friend or coach requests?
Per Little League regulations, we are unable to take any friend or coach requests. All
coaches can draft players, so if you want to play for a specific coach, please ask that coach to
draft your child. Please note, there are no guarantees that a coach will be able to draft your
child.
What equipment do I need?
Baseball bat, glove, batting helmet, batting gloves (optional), cleats with plastic spikes. Metal spikes are only allowed in the Junior and Senior divisions who play on Field 7.
What additional costs are likely to come up during the season?
In addition to your registration fee, additional costs may include things like:
-Team baskets for raffles
-Practice field rental
-Pitching machine rental
-Team banner and player pennants
-Names embroidered on hats
-End-of-season trophies
-End-of-season team party
-Coach gifts
-Etc.
*Managers often find it helpful to have additional practice balls, hitting nets, training aids, etc.
None of these are provided, and managers may ask for help with these expenses.
Why are there player evaluations?
Evaluations are for CP6, CP7/8, Minors, Majors, 50/70, and Junior/Seniors. Evaluations allow Managers
to evaluate each kid for purposes of drafting their teams. Players will get the chance to hit, run,
and field. If your child is unable to attend one of the scheduled evaluations, they will be
considered a hat pick (picked randomly to a team). Managers will rank every player on the skills
listed above and each player will end up with an average ranking. Managers will utilize these
rankings as well as their own notes to draft players to their team.
What is the refund policy?
Our refund policy can be found HERE
How often are there practices/games?
All divisions can have up to 4 baseball activities per week. That will consist of 2 games per week
(when games start) and 1 or 2 practices a week (coaches’ decision). We are unable to make
and communicate specific schedules until registration is closed, and teams are formed.
When are practices and games?
Prior to games starting we have practices from Monday through Saturday. Once games begin,
practices are generally on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Games are generally on
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. If needed, we may make up cancelled games on practice
nights
Why are games scheduled so late at night?
With the number of players and teams Northwest 45 has, the limited number of fields
available, and the need to schedule so many games, there is no way to avoid occasional late
games. Every effort is made to limit the number of late games each team has, but events like
rainouts can cause additional disruption. All game schedules follow the curfew rules of Little
League International.
What are the rules for rainouts or weather delays?
In the case of lightening, games are stopped when lightning occurs within 10 miles of the park
according to the Weatherbug app. The initial stoppage is for 30 minutes from the last lightning
strike within 10 miles of the park. If the weather passes, the park will be reopened and games
will continue. Unless told by umpire or board member on duty that the game(s) are cancelled
for the day, the stoppage is temporary and games will continue.
When the park is closed due to weather, all players, family members, and coaches must leave
the park and wait in their cars. In the case of a delay, play may be continued and if you leave,
your team may forfeit the game. Do not leave unless you receive an official notification of
cancellation or that the park is closing for the rest of the day.
Are games and practices made up when cancelled due to weather?
Every effort will be made to make up cancelled games. Unfortunately, we do not have the field
space to make up practices.
What kind of bat should I buy for my child?
Bat rules can be found HERE. USA bats only for Tball, Coach Pitch 6, Coach Pitch 7/8, Minors, and Majors. USA or BBCOR for 50/70 and Juniors. BBCOR only for Seniors. USSSA bats are not allowed at any age),
How do I sign up to be a Manager, Coach, or Team Mom?
During the registration process, you can select the option to volunteer in one of these positions.
You can also call 832-381-8967 or send an email to [email protected]
What are the responsibilities of a Manager?
The Manager is the leader of the team. They can delegate as they see fit but are ultimately
responsible for leading the team. They can work with the parents of their team to seek
volunteers to help (coaches, team mom, etc). Managers should be knowledgeable of how to
coach baseball.
What are the responsibilities of a Coach?
The Coach is responsible for helping the Manager run the team. They can help with a variety of
roles, but a coach typically helps with teaching the kids the game of baseball and helping during
practices and games.
What are the responsibilities of a Team Parent?
The Team Parent (sometimes referred to as Team Mom but we welcome dads as
well) is responsible for helping the Manager handle administrative tasks. They will attend the
team parent meeting, pass out information to the team, help coordinate communication with
the team, help coordinate game day volunteers, etc.
When will I hear from my Manager?
Once teams are drafted it takes the league a couple of days to input rosters into the system and
provide managers with contact information. We ask that you give them a few days to contact
you. Please review the Schedule of Events at www.nw45ll.com to see when your child’s
division will be drafting teams.
What does the season schedule look like?
